Selector Database
Online facility produced by Buckinghamshire Libraries and Heritage.
Comprises reviews of recently published children's fiction, written by
librarians. Searching can be done by age range, author, title and subject.
This should prove very useful as it develops.

Carol Hurst's Children's Literature Site
This is one of the best sites for teaching ideas about using children's
books. It has a large collection of book reviews, with creative grouping by theme and
curriculum area. It has practical ideas for classroom use and general activities.
Cool Reads
A site created and run by Tim and Chris Cross, set up when they were
teenagers. Really clear and easy to use with lots of ideas
and links. Well worth a visit. Keeps getting better and better!
Kids on the Net
An excellent writing website for children, with information about books and authors. Edited by an old
friend of mine, Helen Whitehead, this site has been around for a very long
time!

Site with author biographies and interviews, including R L Stine, Lemony
Snicket, J K Rowling, Gary Paulsen, Philip Pullman and many more. Lots of American books
not available here, but you will find stuff that you know - give it a try!
