This information
was originally taken from my LRC Intranet site so the choice of
authors may be a little idiosyncratic! I am aiming to list sites for
popular authors and poets mainly writing for secondary-age students - i.e.
11-16.
It consists of
an A - Z list of author's official and some
unofficial sites. Please let me know of any new sites to add to the list. If
you are an author or poet yourself, then I would be happy to list your site
if it meets the criteria set out above.
One interesting thing is that now authors generally have their own website.
When I started this page some four or five years ago, very few did!

Lynne Reid Banks
An interesting site including an amusing interview (conducted
by herself!) and some great audio samples of the author reading extracts from her books.

Jennifer Donnelly
Basic site about this author shortlisted for the Carnegie Medal. The UK
title is "A Gathering Light" - here it has the US title "A Northern Light".
Redwall Abbey: The Official Redwall Website
A fan club site with input from Brian Jacques himself – an interesting
question-and-answer session. Lots of information for Redwall fans! This is
also the home of the Redwall fan club.

A really great site with lots of interesting features, including wallpaper to
download (at home!). Fantastic for fans of his books.

The C.S. Lewis Web Site covering all his writings, with quite a bit on the Narnia stories.
Chronicles of Narnia This well-designed official site contains plenty to interest Narnia fans including
an interactive map, profiles of the characters and background information on the writing
and illustration of the books.
