School libraries and the future
I have wanted to develop a new section to look at the future of school libraries for some time. Then, I was asked by RTA to do a presentation at their conferences in November 2007. This involved a lot of research into Web 2.0, Library 2.0 and School Library 2.0.
Now, my brain is pounding as I try to get my head around all of these new ideas - the possibilities are incredible! So I have made two pages to start with. One on the future of school libraries and another with lots of links to 2.0 gadgets and widgets. This second one may be split up at a later date if I find more stuff that I think will be of interest.
I am also trying to write a blog which will try to cover some of these future themes. With my new job title (Learning Resources and Information Services Manager), comes new responsibilities for ICT development in the school. The blog is a way of developing my ideas.
